MEET THE TO HAVE & TO HOLD TEAM

My name is Janae and I am the creator of To Have & To Hold. After being engaged for 3 months, I married the man of my dreams in August 2013. Man, did I live through a whirlwind of planning, decisions, and trying to make a million different decorations. I didn't want my wedding to be standard, but I wanted it to be special and uniquely designed for Jonathan and me. So, I put in my hours. I did my research! I spent hours on the computer looking for the perfect venue, flowers, decorations, food, and so many other things! Amidst all these other decisions, I had major dress drama {a word for the bride: DON'T buy your dress at the end of the day! Sleep on it!}. Though I had the most wonderful family and friends supporting me, they were super busy too so I planned my entire wedding by myself. I ended up totally stressed--and I am not even a person who stresses out! The week of the wedding came around {it was so exciting!}, but I had to fill everyone in on what to do and when to do it. I'm glad they came around because I needed help to put all of my wedding planning together! My focus was on the wedding, not relaxing and spending time with my fiance, family and friends. But, when the wedding came and all the hard work was over, I was able to soak it all in and enjoy. There was not an ounce of anxiety or stress on my wedding day, just joy and happiness.

So, I created To Have & To Hold. Brides need help! Let me say it again...BRIDES NEED HELP! They just can't do it all. I've got a knack for planning, a creative "we-can-make-anything-happen" attitude, and love working with brides and their families.

Hi there! My name is Meredith, but you can call me MJ! I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA.  I have two baby sisters and my parents moved out to Arizona shortly after I graduated high school, so they were a huge motivation for me to go to school in Arizona. I attended Arizona State {Go Sun Devils!} and got my BA in Tourism Development & Management with a minor in Event & Convention planning. I moved back to California 4 years ago, began my career in Hospitality, and have moved my way into event planning for friends and family. Creating, planning and laughing are all things that I love to do. I just recently returned from my second missionary trip to South Africa and am excited to see where God wants to send me next. I currently live in a big blue house in Huntington Beach with 3 amazing woman & a giant black retriever named Logan. I am so excited to be a part of the To Have & To Hold team and create something beautiful with each wedding.
